What is Madoma Korando?
Madoma Korando is not just a place, it is a safe haven. It is where children who have known hardship far too early find shelter, education, stability and most importantly, the opportunity to simply be children again.
Madoma Korando consists of two parts:
Madoma: Our free School, that opens its doors each morning to over 300 children, from pre school up to Grade 9. Some arrive tired, some arrive hungry, but all arrive with hope. In the classrooms of Madoma, they discover more than lessons. They discover belonging, learn that their dreams matter and gain hope for a brighter future.
Korando:Our free Children’s Home and boarding section, where around 125 children between the ages of 4-18, with most of them, living with us full‑time. These are the children who cannot simply walk back home at the end of the day, because home is too far, or too unsafe, or simply not there. Korando becomes their home, their hope, their steady ground. It is where they sleep, where they heal, and where they learn what it feels like to be cared for.
And since founded in 2005 Madoma Korando has nutured thousands of children, giving them the future they deserve.
